This paper presents an energy optimal control methods of induction drive on criteria of minimum consumption of active, reactive and apparent power, and maximization of power factor. Depending selected criteria and rotor speed the algorithm calculates the coupling coefficient of stator currents, that determines the optimal stator currents. The simulation results of induction drive working on proposed methods are showed. The comparison between energy efficiency of proposed methods are presented. The simulation results showed that the extreme increasing of the one's of energy parameters can decrease others. The most multipurpose of the proposed control methods is the criteria of apparent power minimization, that allow a compromise between the consumed active and reactive power and increase the power factor. The selection of the control methods should be made on the specific developing tasks and environment conditions.
