Investigation and development of new, more realiable and flexible algorithms of relay protection and improving existing algorithms is essential to ensure reliable and stable operation of Ukrainian united power system and its individual parts, power stations and power grids, transmission lines, which provided coordinated and proper operation of protection devices. Elimination of disadvantages and any inconsistencies present requirements to existing protection devices is crucially important in the development of magistral and distribution grids, the gradual replacement of fixed assets of energy companies: the primary electrical equipment and devices secondary switching with the introduction of advanced technologies, which calls for development of new technical solutions, which must comply with current industry standards and specifications adopted in the power sector.
The main purpose of paper is identifying of the most perfect technical method for realizing measurement circuits of differential-phase busbar's protection.
The paper identified the most perfect method of realizing measurement circuits of differential-phase busbar's protection, which used in switchgears of power stations and power grids. To achieve this purpose the authors have studied the application of methods a single-phase and three-phase implementation of measurement circuits of busbar's protection by simulating its operation in emergency conditions, in particular in the internal and external faults. Some advantages and disadvantages of each method were identified and analyzed on the basis of the investigation, carried out their comparative characteristics and selected as the most technically advanced method of three-phase realization of measurement circuits, which can be used for further design of functionality of differential-phase busbar's protection.
